Unions around the country are running independent campaigns against the PM's Workchoices regime. They are representing their members. They are doing their job. George Colbran is running a community based Federal Election Campaign, funded largely by private donations, volunteers and yes, even a bit of his own money. Peter Lindsay's campaign, conversely: ads, obnoxious mail-outs, staff etc., is funded by the tax-payers of Australia. We also get to pay for his pension, super and state funeral. After 11 years of nodding off on the back-bench, how can Peter Lindsay justify his percentage of the $2 billion dollars the Libs have spent on self promotion since 1996? You may recall him falling asleep in question time, before they moved him from behind the PM...Lindsay has failed his community. The fact George is willing to put any of his money where his mouth is is a strength and shows he's serious about representing his community. You might want to try a little bit of research Vic...that's what journalists generally do before they bang their keyboard or open their mouth.
