Racism pure and simple

I'm just stunned by this comment, frankly. It does indeed smack of fifty years ago on the other side of the planet, and I'm perhaps a bit naive to think he can make it with a straight face. Then I remember that it's coming from those who brought us Tampa and the Pacific Solution and I think it's completely in character - perhaps another dog-whistle? We have truly sunk low as a nation if we cannot see this for the patent racism that it is. Maybe it's time we put "To Kill a Mockingbird" back on the school syllabus - I bet Kevin Andrews hasn't read it, or if he has he's a poor student of it.
