Terry - you are absolutely right, but the additional complicating factor is that there has been absolutely no oxygen available for APEC basking amongst all the leadership speculation, retirement of premiers etc. The way thinygs have been going, I don't think the voters will remember anything except the inconvenience by the end of this week. In addition, its funny how the footage of "violent protesters", which might have been expected to boost the government's "security" credentials, hasn't really played out in that way. Instead, it's simply further confused the impression of the conference in remote electorates.
