A raw deal for veterans

By: Jim (Registered ) on 15-10-2007 09:24

We appreciate your comments Willy. To add to Doug's statements, veterans have been politicians of all stripes for years. Most don't bother to reply, & those that do give replies at the level of a 3 y/o, don't address the problem/query, and reply with a stream of political balderdash. Coalition politicians that is. As for letters to editors etc, well, I guess you've heard that media themselves have admitted to receiving around $2Billion in government payments. Mainstream media don't dare publish anything veterans put to them, especially when its backed up with incontrovertible proof. There is the very rare exception, but they are of a 'one-off' nature and quickly go silent, with never any follow-up.
And yes, veterans can prove everything they say about the despicable 'Duty of Care' given by all governments for decades and the atrocious manner in which they 'Salute their Service' and 'Care for Veterans' and their families. That's why you see little or nothing about the truth in the media. The truth would destroy any government, be it Liberal/Coalition or Labor. Bang goes the media cash-cow. To blazes with the suffering veterans and their families. I (and others) have repeated ly challenged media, politicians and others to 'prove me wrong'. They can't, and they don't dare try to do so. Any-one who doubts can contact me for scores of examples on tjimw1@iprimus.com.au But be prepared to have your faith in your political and media 'leaders' blown to very tiny shreds. Incidentally, virtually any veteran can do the same. So can their families.
