I am glad Jason jumped in at this point. 
It was sounding too much like a two way discussion. Maybe the two contributors could send each other their msn or email addresses to continue their discussion in private? 
 
Since I live in NSW I was unaware that this forum was mainly for 'local' issues within Queensland. I did live in Queensland for 17 years, under Joh and under Goss, but if a 'general' opinion is not required them maybe I am connected to the wrong site. 
 
On another point. I am so sad to see in todays polls that Australian's CAN be bought. I thought there may have been some change since the last election. Is it the journalists fault for not expressing opposing views enough, or is it the electorates fault for not being more engaged in the electioneering and the political process?
