Tax Plan?

By: AlanK (Registered ) on 22-10-2007 11:11

To me, it seems indecent that our politicians can even admit to finding so many billions of surplus tax dollars. Does this not mean that we are PAYING TOO MUCH TAX?
I would rather be paying less tax while the treasurer tried to balance the budget. Far better for we Australians, [to quote the PM], to be paying less tax into the coffers, and JUST FAIL, than be paying too much, and having to see the treasurers 'smiling' face too often. When he smiles, I shudder.
Let us hear it for balanced budgets. It means someone is doing there job. We do not live in a company where the bean counters are looking for profit.
With balanced budgets big ticket items will have to be accounted for next budget because the treasurer will have to spell it out and say why the tax rate will have to go up by a few cents in the dollar.
