Accountability?

By: anne_elk (Registered ) on 23-10-2007 00:27

to "Alan K" and "enviro" on the issue of taxation and accountability... well said both of you.

Hand outs of our money come election time can be simply summerised. Dishonest, vote grabbing, short term, SPIN. I've had enough of it. This is our money they are spending.

Founders of this great nation are proud of how hard they worked and of their taxation contributions which built this nation we know today. Courageously determined to make it better for us and future generations.

The two majours "privatise" and flog off past and present contributions towards our valuable assets and public infrastructures: eg. Telstra, public transport, education system, etc. They continue to sell off and allow the destruction of our precious and finite natural resources, eg. water, gas, coal, native forests, uranium, gold, environmental protection standards, etc. We go into “budget surplus” and gain a few crumbs from their table from our taxes, (sold assets, infrastructures and natural resources) come election time... in their bid to gain power and control over our taxes our resources and our working rights, to squander and exploit as they see fit, if and when re-elected.

A vicious circle for our nation.

Accountability? Yes please.
