I wrote an article about a fully renewables based Australian grid. lets tango Kasper.
Got any arguments to back up your pro nuclear stance or are u just a sh*t stirrer?
Australia has excellent potential to have a mainly renewables based grid within 10-15 years. Do you want to dispute this claim?
Any country with a nuclear power program 'ipso facto' (in the words of that wise man paul keating) has the basis for a nuclear weapons program. Do you wish to dispute this fact?
There is not enough uranium to provide thw worl'd energy needs with nuclear power, as uranium is a non- renewable resource, which -like oil- will run out. It will run out quite quickly if there is a major global proliferation of nuclear power plants- there will be hardly any left in as little as 50 years.
There is no way as yet to safely store the millions of tonnes of highly radioactive waste that is produced by reactors. the last thing we need is more toxic waste which will be radioactive for hunreds of thousands of years when there is no safe way to store it. Care to disprove this particular point?
And finally, uranium mining(often what are traditional sacred sites)on indigenous land is an absolute kick in the teeth for our second class citizens the Anoriginies, who never ceded soverignty of this country to the europeans.
I reckon youre just bored Kasper and couldn't begin to justify why nuclear power is a good idea, or indeed 'inevitable'.

(ps the paul keating thing was sarchasm, he is a tool. But his comments on nuclear power in this instance are completely correct)
