APEC a no ball

Extending your sporting metaphore to another game I would compare it to the current competition in South Africa. Though it is termed the Twenty20 World Championship, does anyone take it seriously or care who wins.  
 
I looked on APEC as nothing more than a chest puffing exercise for those involved and a waste of time and money. Abe probably wishes he stayed home in Tokyo. At least he got a new coat out of it. I suspect Mr Howard is hoping for more.
