Federal Labor Candidate for Herbert, George Colbran says he wishes the North Queensland Cowboys well against Manly in this weekend’s NRL Semi-Final. 

“My wife Lorraine and I, like most people across the North, will be cheering them home this weekend,” said Mr Colbran. 

“I do note however, the Prime Minister is once again backing the wrong team, by tipping the Sea-Eagles to win this weekend, and Melbourne to win the Grand Final. 

 “It seems he’s out of touch across the board…I know his government has ignored North Queensland’s needs over the last 11 years, but surely it’s hard to ignore the dynamic skill and never-say-die passion of our footy team,” said Mr Colbran.
