Non-Australian activities According to the Premier of Qld where Sudanese refugees live in Toowoomba, this group has a lower rate of criminal convictions than other ethnic groups. Here in Melbourne the situation is similar. It seems that the murder of a Sudanese boy by white men has made the Sudanese the villans! That just doesn't make sense - but perhaps I am showing my age. It does indeed smack of fifty years ago on the other side of the planet, and I'm perhaps a bit naive to think he can make it with a straight face. Then I remember that it's coming from those who brought us Tampa and the Pacific Solution and I think it's completely in character - perhaps another dog-whistle? We have truly sunk low as a nation if we cannot see this for the patent racism that it is. Mr Andrews needs to wake up as to what's going on around him,it's not only the African immigrants that aren't assimiliating.In Perth it's reached the point where many won't go into certain areas at night, because of the different gangs of All races.It seems to be a common occurance on week-ends for someone to get knifed or beaten,yet many within government have said we don't have a gang problem.Just what does it fall under in their book,togetherness? » Report this comment to administrator who are the racists?
