By Nicholas Stanton,

Northern Beaches residents will now have better access to Centrelink services with a new Centrelink office opening in Bohlevale today.

“The Centrelink Access Point in the Bohlevale Community Centre will enhance the delivery of vital Federal Government services to the North Townsville community,” Member for Herbert, Peter Lindsay, said.

“The Bohlevale Access Point provides a phone, photocopier, and fax machine for people to conduct their business with Centrelink, and provides a range of forms and information products,” Mr Lindsay said.

“It’s all about making it easier for people to access Government information and services.”

Senator the Hon Chris Ellison, Minster for Human Services today officially opened the new Centrelink Access Point.

“Centrelink is committed to improving its services to rural, regional and remote Australia and has created a nationwide network of over 560 Centrelink Access Points and Agents such as this one,” Senator Ellison said.

“I thank the Bohlevale Community Centre for being one of many organisations Centrelink partners with to improve services to local communities in rural and regional areas.”
