Volunteer your time

If being an "activist" is not your strength and handing our fliers for political parties at your local booth to your neighbours is not your "thing" then please consider scrutineering the vote count after polls close.

Scrutineering is the most productive action you can take to ensure a truely "honest" vote.

It involves watching the count to ensure that every vote is counted in the way that the voter intended and all votes in doubt are queried (and re-checked) rather than quickly "trashed".

For more information on what scrutineering involves visit:

http://www.aec.gov.au/Parties_and_Representatives/Candidate/Handbook/scrutineers.htm

One Saturday afternoon of your time.

Please seriously consider.

I have scrutineered many times for various candidates from a few different political organisations. Willing to do it again this year. I have only missed out doing this over the past two elections as I had nobody worth voting for.
