I bet they would soon change their opinions if a nuclear reactor was to be built in their suburb.

Fascinating

I thought most of the comments would have been negative, particularly given the locale. They were surprisingly open to the use of nuclear power. Maybe the polls aren't capturing the real mood on it.

NIMBY

I get the feeling most people are OK with Nuclear power unless it is going to be built close to them.

I cannot see 20+ communities saying yes to nuclear power plants.

I can't see that anyone would want a power station near them but given the choice I would certainly plump for a nuclear one. It's a great deal cleaner among other things and safer compared to coal where thousands and thousands have been killed mining the stuff, but then that is never taken into consideration.

options ?

So why not solar wind wave and geothermal ? you would rather have a Nuclear power station near you than one or all of these?

I would prefer any or all of these to Nuclear.
